Just a quick update today.
At the moment we are in negotiations to acquire a vehicle for the event. We have found a mk2 Golf in grey that we can pick up for £200 - £50 less than the amount allowed. It is likely we will be taking this car and then you all better get your permanent markers out, because donations to sign or draw will be following shortly after.
The winners of the paintballing tickets are due to be announced in 3 days. We will update here on how we did with that.

COMPETITON TIME!
That's right, it's time for a competition. Those nice guys at Gemin-i.org are offering 8 tickets to go paintballing to the team raising the most money between the 14th and 20th of December.
If we win the prize, we will take the highest 6 donators this week to the paintball session as a thank-you for helping us to raise money for the charity. The winner is announced on the 20th and we will update here which team managed to win them. If we win, we will announce the 6 donators we are taking along.
So please, see this as an incentive to make a difference. Now is your chance to not only give money to a worthy cause, but to get something in return. We have only had 1 donation this week, so even donating £0.01 is currently going to earn you one of the 5 remaining places. Paintballing for 1p, you can't get better than that.
Now it is time to thank our donators. This week we had only one but it was rather large. It came from Shaun/Xyem who offered £50, so thank you for your generosity.
That brought our total to £118.08, 12% of our target.
We still need to raise £881.92 though, so please find it in your heart to give something this week. Heaven may or may not exist, who knows for sure? But just in case, why not secure your place there now by giving a little charitable donation and helping those less fortunate?
£250 pays for one school to take part in the scheme and we would like to reach this target by the end of the week. We are just under 50% toward this goal, with £131.92 still to raise if we are to meet it. If we achieve this, we have done the minimal amount we wished, as we know that we have made a difference. Of course we would like to reach the £1,000 so that 4 schools will get the chance. With your help, I know we can do that.

Donator appreciation
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who donates to the cause and to show that, we will make a post thanking each person individually. It's that time right now, so let us give thanks to:
If you would like to help us in raising the rest and get mentioned here as well, please either spread our blog address around (http://perpetualms.blogspot.com), or donate via justgiving (http://www.justgiving.com/perpetualmotionsquad). Any amount is appreciated and if you don't want to appear on a thank you list, you can also donate anonymously at the same justgiving page.
We also enabled adverts on the page and will donate all of the money we make from those to the total as well.
Many thanks to our donators so far.
- Joel/Den for donating a massive £50
- Matt (he's in the team) for donating £5
- Andrew/Pyroka for donating £5
- Hong/Lantana for donating £5
- James Carr (that's me!) for donating £3.08 from an ebay auction of Fable 2

About us
Perpetual Motion Squad is the name of our team in the Sucata Split charity fundraising event. The event itself is organised by Gemin-i.org and all proceeds will go to them to help fund a project aimed at raising awareness and understanding of HIV and AIDS to young people around the world.
The event is split into two activities. The first and most important is the fund raising. Each team aims to raise a minimum of £1000 before the 27th of March 2010. It costs £250 per school participanting in the awareness project, so every team will help 4 schools take part if they reach their goal. Of course nothing is stopping a team continuing to raise money once the £1000 is reached and that is exactly what we aim to do.
The second part is a 4 day tour across Europe, from Belgium to Croatia. This can be seen as a reward for teams after working hard to raise money, or as an incentive to draw people in to the idea. Either way, it achieves its goal. The cost of the trip is covered by the team and does not come out of the fundraising money, even a single penny.
Perpetual Motion Squad is a team of two - Jay and Matt. Here we are looking as amazing as ever.

As yet we have not acquired a vehicle, however the rules state it must cost no more than £250. No doubt we will make a post when we get our hands on a car.
Currently we are at £68 raised so far, which doesn't sound like a lot but it is 7% of our total. We are working hard to raise the rest, so if you would like to help out a good cause, you can:
